Joshua 13:33

'But to the tribe of Levi, Moses had given no inheritance; the Lord, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as he promised them.'

Is the Lord enough for me? He should be, shouldn't he?

Joshua 9:14

'The Israelites sampled their provisions but did not inquire of the Lord.'

A reminder of the importance not to rely on own self but to seek God's guidance always.

Joshua 7:20-21

'Achan replied, “It is true! I have sinned against the Lord, the God of Israel. This is what I have done: When I saw in the plunder a beautiful robe from Babylonia, two hundred shekels of silver and a bar of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath.”'

Sin starts by seeing - if I do not stop it, one thing will lead to another.

Joshua 1:9

^"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

I *will* be strong and courageous! It is so good to know that wherever i go, God will be with me. and not just where i go physically! where i am heading to in my life, God will be with me.

Deuteronomy 33:29

"Blessed are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword."

Similarly, I am so blessed. God saved me, he is my shield and my helper.

Deuteronomy 30:11-14

¹¹ Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. ¹² It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” ¹³ Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” ¹⁴ No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.

God's commands are not too difficult to follow. I mustobey his words.

Deut 6:10-12

"When the Lord your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you—a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant—then when you eat and are satisfied, be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery."

I must not be ungrateful - i must remember what the Lord has done for me and to give the glory.
